Deleting Sync'd Photos

I was under the impression that the latest os sys. upgrade would fix the problem of deleting photos from your albums and individual pictures that are added when syncing. I still can't delete photos without going thru itunes, which is a cumbersome way of doing things. Anybody have a better way of deleting photos. I'm a new ipad user and everything I've tried doesn't work. It seems to me that this would be a simple fix by Apple.

Unfortunately, it's the still the same: If you put photos on your iPad with iTunes, you have to still use iTunes to take them off the iPad. The "big" thing was that the new iOS made it so you could delete photos from your Photo Stream ... an entirely different thing.
