Deleting emails

Need to know how to set how to set up ipad so that when I delete an email on my ipad it doesn't delete the email out of my internet provider email account. I have an att account. When I delete an email using my ipad it's gone from my att account inbox when I check my email using my desktop pc. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Delete means just that. If you don't want it deleted, don't delete it on the ipad.
