When I go to the App Store and click on my purchased apps, I get a list of all the apps I have purchased, even the ones I no longer have installed. Is there any way to delete them completely as I would prefer not to have apps I no longer use taking up space on the list.

Deleting apps shown in the cloud

Hi! Welcome to iPF!
The apps that you see in your Purchased tab can't be deleted, even if you don't need them any more. They are yours, so in case you want to download them again, you'll always find them in Purchased, with a cloud next to them.
You can hide them, though, using this method: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919

Moral, never download an app that would cause you embarrassment if someone else saw you downloaded it.
