Simple hold your finger on app you wanna delete and a x will appear then delete

Once you tap the X, a popup will appear.

Press the delete button and the app is gone from your iPad. This two step process is designed to make it almost impossible to accidentally delete an app you want to keep.

Thanks. I've moved and grouped apps, but never paid much attention to the 'X'.
