The legendary Bungie, the developers behind Halo, of course, have released their first iPad game, courtesy of Harebrained Schemes, from their new mobile games wing, Bungie Aerospace (no pun intended), and it has swiftly soared to the top of the app chart in the iPad store. The game sees you take on the role of the scarily named Thomas Blood, as you command a steampunk pirate crew, with gameplay being a mixture of turn-based strategy and action on the high seas in the Caribbean. There are eight voyages in total to play, with over 20 unique crew members available to you, all of whom have different special abilities. You will also have over a dozen different varieties of ship, sub and airship with which to terrorise the Caribbean waters and all who have the misfortune to sail in them. Two multiplayer Pass-and-Play stories are also available, and if you’re a Bungie.net member you’ll be glad to hear that the game has full Bungie.net Stats integration, along with Leaderboards and Facebook integration as well.
