Yes, but it's very dumb viewer. It shouldn't just arbitrarily fit every image to the screen. Apple programmers were just too lazy to do it properly.

What a fascist little message board you have here. I understand censoring foul language, but opinions too? You remind me of those worthless rent-a-cops who take their jobs too seriously, and get no respect in return.

Let users decide what is right or wrong. We don't need you.

No. iPad is more than capable of allowing users to organize, edit and view their own files. In fact, that is exactly what happens when you jailbreak. Apple has intentionally closed off file access in the iPhone OS. And that is downright ridiculous, if you ask me.

As a former IT Manager it's critical to draw lines and set limits or you'll never get the product out the door. It may or may not get there depending on the success of the iPad and we know how well it's doing in the market place. Tough to be patient though.

I agree completely. I think these little nagging flaws (that aren't intentional limitations mean to maximize Apple's profit margin of course :p) will be fixed with time.

I wonder what would happen if people were told that the iPad was ready to go, but is being held back while they work on the iPhoto app?

Actually, this is a big frustration for me right now. A state agency that regulates my job is full of young engineers right now with no real clue as to how to handle thing. We are trying to finish up a two year rebuild and were suppose to be back on line in January. Due to their problems, we are still waiting. The latest is that all four groups have finished their reviews, but one of them waited on the others before issuing his approval. The catch is that his approval is not related to the other groups, and it requires a public notice, with 30 day period for public comments. If there are any comments, that can add another 90 days for public hearings. We have a letter from last October saying that all was ready for approval. If he had issued his permit in October, it would be through the worse case scenario by now. We have been ready to operate for months now and my people are doing painting and cleaning because of silly holdups. Can you imagine this fiasco happening to Apple? I doubt it.
