Creating folders in mail

I'm new to the ipad(3) but I'm slowly working things out. One thing I can't fathom is mail. I need to sort emails into folders but can't see any options. I use btinternet and don't want to have to fire up my slow laptop to sort my messages. I've looked at the iPad user guide but it's not helping!

If your mail account is an Exchange or IMAP account, have a look at this thread (post #4): http://www.ipadforums.net/showthread.php?t=60856

If your account is a POP mail account, I'm afraid there is no way to create or use folders with that account. Sorry.

I have an msn account and can not create folders with in mail account. It is a POP account . Am I SOL ?

I am afraid so, yes. There's not much you can do with a POP mail account other than just view your emails. Sorry.

Do you use iCloud?

I have a pop account also but what I do is create folders in my iCloud account and then move my emails over to them.

It's a great workaround!
