convert video to iPad

Hi There,
Has anyone been using a converter of Video files (e.g. .AVI) to iPad format? If so - what success rate have you had thus far?

I've been using handbrake from the days I still use iPod up until now.
But if you don't want to waste your times to do converting there are several video playes apps that support a lot of video format (AVI, MKV, etc) and you can simply drag and drop the movie files to the apss file sharing using iTunes.

just download AVPlayerHD from App store, or try a free video converter, Freemake or Handbrake

Handbrake for me. It's free, has iPad presets, is easy to use and has never failed me yet!!
