I know it's possible to connect iPads to LCDs and TVs, but is it possible to connect it to a giant LED OUTDOOR DISPLAY?

If the display has a standard HDMI input, you should be able to connect an Apple TV to the display and stream the video to the display from the iPad, via the Apple TV.

Or even just use the appropriate (30-pin or Lightning) Apple HDMI adaptor, for iPad2 and above.

The reason I suggested the Apple TV in this case is to eliminate the need for the iPad to be right next to the input for the display screen. The cable connection would work, within the limitation of the cable length.

How do I send a picture to the forum?

If you are using the IPF App it's real easy, get it in your Photos App then when you post your message use the Advanced button then Attach From Photos......

I connected the Apple TV to an HDMI to av converter, then connected to converter to a video mixer ( although I could still connect it direct to the LED MIXER) then from the mixer to video amplifier, from the amplifier to the video processor then the scoreboard. If the stadium has a wifi that covers itu can move the full length of the stadium videoing and changing scores while the guy at the control room mixes the video output.

That is great and a really novel way to use the iPad.
