Hi

After the newly update of Chrome, it crach after about 5 seconds on my JB iPad 3
Is it Chrome who has a bug or is it my jailbroken iPad?
I also use Chrome downloader!

Try uninstalling both and reinstalling both. Browser first. I had the same issue last week on my iPad. Reinstalling both fixed it.

Hi

I have removed Chrome and Chrome download manager as you suggest, but it did not help.
But I found this on another forum, hope it is ok to link to this site.

I'll wait and see if there will be an update from Cydia.

I think we need an update from Google, not Cydia.

I have solved the problem with Chrome.

If I check the box, send info to Google, the problem disappear, and Chrome runs normal

According to a tweet I read from Jay Freeman (saurik; the owner/operator of Cydia): "[G]oogle Chrome added untested jailbreak-specific code on iOS; if you have "send crash reports" OFF, it crashes."

From Google Chrome developers: the fix is to either change to report crashes (via ifile or SSHing into your device) or uninstall/reinstall Chrome and enable "crash reporting." Or, wait for the next release, which will fix.

Saurik also says: "...you may also need to uninstall [any] Chrome hacks you may have."

Just so's you know what's going on...

Confirmed working. Thanks!

Note, the only way I found to make this selection is to uninstall>reinstall Chrome.

Yes it works for now, but only if I do as Mickey330 writes about.

Its okay by me for now. I have also diabled CDM and wait for a new version of CDM and a new Chrome update.
