Does anyone know why the iPad charger gets hot?

The charger converts AC electricity from 80 to 260 volts into DC electricity at 5v to charge your iPad. It gets hot in the process. Perfectly normal.
yes mine gets hot too.
Only gets hot when actually charging tho. It then cools when maximum charge is reached and the maintain level is happening.
Internal losses in the charger is the reason it gets warm. This is perfectly normal.
Ya it's normal, because 220w converting in 5w.This thing also happens in Nokia N series mobile charger.
So you don't need to worry about this.
My iPad charger also gets hot but when i shared it with my friends, They said it's ok.
My charger gets hot too. I think its normal.
The charger probably gets hot because of the plug it's in. It is electric.
