Currently i have a generic £4 smart folder case which covers the screen while closed, and a neoprene zipped cover from Amazon which keeps it safe from rain showers and most minor dropping incidents.

Having used the Griffin Survivor case on my ip4, and been totally satisfied, i've being tempted to get the Griffin Survivor case for the iPad2

Wonder if anyone has done?

Ya know - Ive been fighting myself on whether or not to bother with a screen protector. They seem hit or miss as far as longevity, they potentially dull the screen or take some vibrancy away, and installation has caused a few people to come up with new swear words. :D The way I see it is this: The screen was made to be touched and therefore the regular act of touching it via while using it wont probably do any damage. Ive only had my ipad 2 for a couple days but wiping off fingerprints has been easy. I just use the micro cloth I use on telescope lenses. No solvents - just some "breath" or a dab or two of lukewarm water does the trick.

I dont see how the screen can get scratched during normal use. If it takes a fall and lands the wrong way - the screen will still crack regardless if a layer of film is over it. I suppose if someone with wicked nails dug in they could scratch it but thats an "edge" test case. Otherwise, ffor now, I'll just go with being careful and doing regular, gentle cleanings.

Well, when i spoke to the guy at the apple store about whether or not to get a covering, he said make sure you don't do anything that takes away from the enjoyment of your IPAD. I love handling mine without a case and using the swipe motions directly on the glass. You are correct in saying that it was build to be touched and simply wipe the glass when needed.

A case is far better than expensive tears, nothing spoils the enjoyment of the iPad more more - than smashing it!

I boughta leather coverfor my pad, im satisfied with it, altough its not very thight the pad has some place to move inside it. There are some bad covers in the shop, well most of them i think were useless, including the smartcover. There are also covers for the back, made of plastic. And sacks, which are like the mobile phone cases, just in the size of the ipad and with a zip. If you are considering to buy a case, I recommend that pay attention to leather cases which cover both sides. Its good to hold in the case because the touch of leather is very natural, and gives a feeling of safety because anywhere you take the pad down, or hold it in your hands you know that the case protects the ipad. And while it is not being used lookes like a diary or notebook. I cant imagine any other type of case for my pad.

I'm very satisfied with a leather mag screen cover and a snap on iFrogz hard shell on the back. Slide the entire unit into a padded bag $29 from Blacks.

Otterbox, which was replaced because of a bent stand claw.
Macally book stand for light use.
Apple kb.
Targus stylus (griffin is better but I lost it.)
S10-HD BT which I share with iPhone 4
Apple component cord

Considering mac extreme charge duo BUT probably doesn't work with otterbox.

And apple tv for mirroring. Does anyone know when/if apple tv 3 is due and if it will be console or interactive tv. I already have an interactive Vizio.

The cheap faux leather case i got s loose fitting and the slides side to side, but i keep a stylus under the flap which is handy, and holds the ipad2 very firmly.

Regarding screen covers, I have to say how awesome the Splash HD screen protector is. It's the only one I've ever had go on without any bubble or lint problems. It goes on without any adhesives or whatever too which I prefer. I will say that it does ever so slightly darken the screen itself but it's trivial and you can tell how solid this product is.

Just sharing my findings...

Does the splash HD effect the screen feel at all? That has been my issue with screen protectors. Thanks!

Sent from my iPad2 32 3G Black :)
