Hi and welcome to the Forum!

With regard to your issue, when you go into the app store do you see the index along the bottom eg. Featured - Top Charts - Categories? When an app plays up it's a good idea to close it completely. Do the four finger swipe up or double tap the home button to reveal your multi task bar along the bottom. It will show all the apps that you have opened at one time or another. Long press one of these apps until they start to jiggle and red minus signs will appear above them all. Press all the minus signs, this will close them, not delete them. It's a good idea to do this regularly just to keep them all running smoothly, I do mine every night. Check and see if it is operating now.

There must be a defect in the latest software because this never used to happen to me but now it seems as though it happens all the time. leelai's advice will definitely fix it. Thanks for posting those methods of closing apps. I was doing it by holding power then holding the home button. Your approach seems much faster.

You can also use an app like Xsysinfo to reclaim memory without going through the app by app selection process.

You're welcome! When an app plays up its best to close it and see if that fixes the problem first, if not then a restart and even a reset may be needed too.
