cant delete emails, only options shown are archive/move

Hi

Since upgrading to IOS 5 I can't delete emails,if I hit edit the only options shown are to archive or move. I'v tried deleting and reinstalling the email account (gmail) but I can't see why this is happening. I had the option to delete before. Any ideas?

By default, the Gmail account is set to Archive your e-mails, not delete them. To set to delete, go to the Settings app, then press on the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" line. Find your Gmail account and press that line. At the bottom, there's a line for "Archive Messages." Turn it OFF and then you will have delete instead of archive.
