Hi,
When I clicked on iTunes I got the message "cannot connect to iTunes store", the only features that opened on iTune page were "iTunes U" and "podcasts". By the way my appleID is OK and I can download apps from AppStore.
I tried to sign out and resign again, but it didn't work.

So, please help...
Thanks

Apple has been doing something with their servers today (getting ready for ios 6 perhaps) that has been causing outages of many features on ios. If this issue just started today it may be related to that. Can't be sure though.

Hi, thanks for your reply, but I don't think it's related to ios6 upgrade cuz I have been experienced that since the day I've bought the iPad (few months). Till lately I wasn't familiar with iTunes and I thought that it was normal that podcasts and iTunes U features are the only ones that iTunes suggests.
Do I need to install the iTunes on my PC and connect the iPad to the PC? Is that even make sense? I'm frustrated...don't know what to do :(

Hello nw9000, welcome to the forum.

As you have learned, connecting your iPad to a PC is unnecessary 98% of the time. You will probably be okay when you upgrade to iOS6. However, in case something goes wrong, having your iPad backed up to a PC will be very critical.

Therefore, I would get iTunes installed on your PC and do a PC backup--just in case.

What country are you located in? Some Governments place restrictions on which features of iTunes are available to their citizens.

Hi, I'm from Israel. Do you think that it's somehow connected?

I think that that is indeed your problem.
Look at these screenshots. According to them, you can only access apps, podcasts, iTunes U and free books.

Wow man I didn't realize. At least I know what's the problem now. Even apple support didn't help. Bummer... thanks though.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Maybe things will change in the future. Keep checking the iTunes Store every so often to see.

I've seen this problem before.... I usually reboot my iPad. But it may also mean that you are having Internet connection problems. I suggest you both check your Internet connection and if that doesn't work try rebooting your iPad.
