Can u attach a file to an email using the iPad?

Yes, in a roundabout way...
You have to be in the app that uses the file then press/hold/send...because of this it's a very limited feature since we can't actually navigate to a file to "attach" in the way you'd think.

Not using the iOS mail app. You can attach files to emails from within other apps such as Goodreader, Docs To Go, etc.
Because iPad doesn't have a central repository for documents (my documents) this would be tricky.
