Can pictures from a camera be downloaded to iPad

I have just bought the new iPad . Now I realize no way to down load from a Nikon. Does anyone have any ideas. I thought. It would work like a laptop, I am so sad

You should have checked that before, my dear!
However, google for the camera connection kit - I got one (not original) which allos me to connect the same USB-cable used for connecting the camera to the laptop/PC...
However, if you are so sad and mad send me a private message and I will give you my address - I will take it without charging you...

For the purpose of sending a PM to give away your iPad? Thought buying a CCK would be the simple solution.

The CCK works with my Nikon. I now use an Eye-fi card and can download everywhere without having to connect cables or remove the sd card.
