Can ipad2 3g+ wifi be blocked by the nwetwork provider?

Hi there,


I just want to know if ipad2 3g+ wifi be blocked by the network provider? I know all ipads are unlocked but i want to know if the network provider can block it so it will not be used anymore. Is it the same case as a mobile phone handsets or is it treated as being a laptop?

Only some iPads are locked - in the UK only at present, as far as I know. All other iPads are unlocked. The service provider can suspend their data service to the iPad - if the contract has expired for example - but they are not able to disable the iPad.
