Can I eliminate the open apps.

    There are so many open app tabes on the top of each page that it becomes too cluttered. Can they be stopped?

    I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Do you want to put the apps into folders?

    Do you perhaps mean the Tabs at the top of a Safari page? These can be deleted by tapping the small x that appears next to each one. Hope this helps.

    Or do you mean the apps that show in the multitask bar (that shows when you use a four-fingered swipe up gesture ... or double tap the home button)? Like this:

    If that's what you mean, you can remove them by holding them down until they start to wiggle and you see a red circle with a minus sign on the upper left of each icon. Press that circle and the icon will be gone.
