Camera Adapter ... can files be Xfers as well as photos?

It is well established that the Camera adapter kit contains an SD adapter for transferring photo (jpg, etc) and a separate adapter with USB2.0 interface for directly connecting a camera that in turn xfers the photos from the memory card.

What I want to know can the USB adapter for the camera be used with a USB memory stick for file transfer ... now with iOS4.3?

Nope. Tried that. Doesn't work. I get the error message saying that the device draws too much power.

Short answer, no.
Long answer. Yes with some major hacking.

Been reading people with cheaper memory sticks got it to work. Guess the voltage the cheaper ones draw is within apples range. Kind of hit n miss though. Luxar was one of the brands. Cant have any kind of light on it or more thn likely will draw too much voltage.

Also, with ifiles, u can transfer any kind of files, both ways. Not just photos. You have to be jailbroken to get Ifiles from Cydia store.
