Calendar syncs between iPad & iPhone, but not Contacts. What's up wth that?

When I first got the iPad and went through setup my Contacts all carried over from the iCloud backup that had been made with the phone.

Calendar still syncs within a few minutes but Contacts are no longer syncing between the two devices.

What do i need to do to get it all back together?

Any insight on how to get the Contacts squared away will be appreciated.

Do you have the syncing button on in your "Mail Contacts and Calendars" tab (in your Settings app)? You have to select which e-mail (or cloud) account you wish to use and then turn on syncing.

If that is what you are doing, what type of account are you trying to use and what error are you getting (or not)?
