Calendar sync up

Hey,

My sister and I have an iPad each and we have been trying to get our iPads and iPhones to sync to our calendars. So far we gotten her iPhone to sync with my iPad calendar but not my iPhone and her iPad. We use them for our small business.

Any help would be great

Hi, Colleen! Welcome to iPF!

Could you please give a little more information? Which kind of calendar do you want to sync? (iCloud, Gmail, Outlook, ...) Which way do you sync/share them? Do you use the same Apple ID?

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Both my sister and I have outlook accounts. No we don't have the same apple ID. Has totally confused us to why my sister can add things to our calendar and it notifies me that she has but when I add to it, nothing happens at her end.

I suppose your sister was the one who shared her calendar with you? In Outlook calendar on the browser, did she choose "Co-owner" when she invited you to her calendar?

No, we both invited each other and no about the co owner thing :/

Where and which way did you set up the invitation?
Afaik when sharing a calendar, one part is inviting, the other part is accepting.

We went through the calendar and invited each others email address...... Am totally confused lol

Feeling like the biggest noob right now..... Had my iPad for a year now but this calendar thing is really confusing me :/

After inviting, you should have received an email, where you're able to accept or decline the invitation.

Do you only use Outlook calendar, or iCloud as well? It would be easier there sharing a calendar. You could even do it in the app (setting up, inviting, sharing). And I know from my own experience that it works. You could view events your sister added, and would be able to add events as well.
