Blackberry email on ipad2

Can you ask your work what the actual server is. It won't be one word, but something like apple.edu.xox etc.

Ok so I asked work and they said they won't allow the trusts email to be acceded on anything other than owa as it's a risk, which is understandable. Now I'm back to square one of trying to set up my. [email protected]. Email address on my iPad. Any ideas?

Only a Blackberry device can use those email accounts as email to that address is just pushed to a Blackberry via its PIN. There is no POP/IMAP/ActiveSync/etc access to that email account. That's a good reason to not rely on them as you're out of luck when you switch away from Blackberry devices.
