MacRumors reports the welcome news today that PopCap Games in conjunction with Free App A Day are offering one of their most popular games, Bejeweled 2 + Blitz, for free until Sunday morning. The Match 3 game is actually a slice of gaming history, as it was one of the first games to appear in the App Store at launch, back in July 2008. Tuned specifically for iOS devices, Bejeweled 2 offers touch screen support with intelligence to determine which gem a player meant to touch, even when they haven’t used precise finger strokes to hit the next gem perfectly. Different modes on offer include an Endless Mode, and Music System, which enables you to listen to your iPod music while you match those gems and rack up the high scores.
