Is there any harm in charging the iPad before it reaches, say 20% or less? The reason I ask is because I have the iLuv speaker dock for my Ipad and anytime you connect the iPad to it, it automatically starts charging the battery. I wasn't sure if this shortened the life of the battery as was the case in the past with batteries with memory.

No harm at all. You are advised to run it down <5% once in a while, but in general idevices like to be charged often. There are lots of results on google that can explain why if you want more info...

I thought batteries had a memory and if you don't run them dead they get lazy.
