Back of ipad 2 hot when charging?

Mine used to get warm when i charged it in my leather case..now i just charge it upside-down..i.e. The back side facing upward and without the case..no heating issues...even apple has written about this in their site..they say dont keep it in cover..let it breathe!

I have no overheating issues that I've noticed even within a well padded folio with an additional Smartfit 2 covering the back.

Mine never gets hot while charging. If it did I would probably take it into an Apple service store and have them look at it.
