AV out issue

Hi,
I'm experiencing some problems getting a pico beamer to work, the situation is as follows:
I own a jailbroken iPad iOS4.2.1 and recently I bought an AipTek T15 pico beamer. An av cable was with the beamer but I didn't have one to connect it to my iPad so I decided to buy a third party AV composite cable on eBay. The problem now is that it's not working at all. I've installed TvOut2 and Resupported4 but it didn't change anything. How do I get this to work? Do I have to buy an official Apple cable?

I have an avi cable i bought at best buy so i can watch mlb on tv from ipad and it works great. Like 35 dollars....
