Attaching external devices on iPad via USB Connector

I am planning a solution around iPad wherein we have to attach 3 or 4 external devices, like Credit Card Swipe Terminal, Small Folio Printer, Room Key Encoders, Bar Code scanner, these devices have to be accessed programmatically.

iPad provides just one 30 pin connector.

Is it possible to use a USB Splitter at the end of 30 PIN to USB accessory provided by Apple.
