AT&T iPad 3 g connectivity

New here pals, and new with iPad too, I have iPad 2 wifi 3 g too but can't get the 3 g working. The micro sim Is from AT&T. I am in overseas now with 3 g acess but my cellular button is defaulted to automatic

Most service providers, AT&T included, require you to register for roaming or to open a separate account for roaming access. You need to contact AT&T to have this enabled on your account.

Though AT&T roaming can be expensive. If you are going to be in that country for long you may want to look arround for a prepaid SIM provider.
