I can agree with them getting upset tethering with the unl plan, but that being said, I do believe that if you are paying for a set amount of data, like the 2GB plan, then they should have no say it how anyone uses it. sorry do not care how many think that is using too much data, 2GBs of data is 2GBs of data no matter what you are using it for.

Umm, yes they do! At least they do here in Canada. Bell Canada and Rogers is the only two. All others are using their networks and are getting throttled. Small ISPs and cell providers are being forced to cap their customers. It is a monopoly for sure.

I have t mobile with a android phone and it's free to tethering . I feel luck for that because I have wifi only iPad 2 but what sucks is AT&T is buying .t mobile

People are just naturally too greedy for a free market to work. Personally I think it's time for apple to ditch AT&T for good. But they won't because AT&T bows to them and they make way to much money off the phones. So AT&T decides to nickel and dime the customers for every little service. "just go buy a different service" well excuse me that I don't like the other other phones or tablets. This seems almost mute anyways because someone will outsmart them just like before and find a work around.

To ask the government to step in and regulate the company because you don't like the way they offer the product they are selling in a free market is exactly why the US is in the financial trouble it is. The government is not the answer - most of the time they are the problem.

Last heard Apple had added another carrier in the US - Verizon - based on the market demanding it...
