Ok, at first, I liked the new lightning connector...now, a month later, it won't charge and it looks like this:

I know it's blurry but hopefully you can see the issue. I don't put pressure on the cord and i don't pull it, so what is going on?

You are making a joke correct? Ok now I see you pulled the interface connection from your iPad along with the power plug.

Are you talking about the bulge in the covering of the cord where it goes into the connector?

While the bulge in the cord doesn't always mean that the cord is't working correctly, it apparently does in your case. I think you should take it to an Apple store to have it checked out. Maybe you can get it exchanged.

Maybe it's time for the real thing, seeing as the el-cheapos don't last.

Depends on your definition of "don't last"...these are still working (I think the rightmost cable is the Apple one, BTW). And the OP has an apple cable that is not working....I'd rather pay $2 for a cable as that is all it is worth. I also have several non-apple chargers and 30-pin cables. All of them work for me on my Apple gear. YMMV, though.

Just bought a new one from Meijer. All good now. I just wish it had lasted longer than a month.

You must have been supremely unlucky with your cables. Some of mine are over a year old, with no sign of damage or malfunction. I hope your new cable lasts.
