Hello!

I'm new to this forum and to iPad 2.
I had my iPad jailbroken on firmware 4.3.3 and installed a lot of apps to try them out. The problem is, at least half of the apps won't start at all, or some of them started only once, when I installed them.... any ideas on this issue?

The other thing that surprised me is that even if a power off the iPad when a restart it, there are a lot a apps in the the multitasking bar - is this normal? - Shouldn't the device start with empy memory?

Sorry about my dump questions.... thanks for the answers... :)

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

Apps that are in the multi-task bar are not really running - the iPad is simply remembering their 'context' (state). So those apps that you're having trouble with - close them down. Press and hold any icon in the multi-task bar until they all start to jiggle and then press the upper left hand corner of the app you want to close. The iPad will then forget its context. Try that app again and see if the problem persists.

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Good news! Problem solved!

The reason my apps didn't start was that RetinaPad is compatible with very few applications I use, as soon as I disable RetinaPad everything works just fine! :)
