I am very new to Apple products all together. I saved apps, movies and books to itunes in order to update OS on IPad2. Now I can't figure out how to get them back on Ipad2. Syncing is not working. Can't seem to get it. Please help.

The update process automatically backup your data and application and after completion it will restore them. You can sync. by selecting the application and type of data. Try

With your iPad connected and selected under the Devices list in iTunes, visit each of the tabs at the top of the page (Apps, Music, etc) and set up syncing the way you want.

    Two warnings.

Don't play with the Info settings unless you know what you are doing.

If you turn on App syncing, make sure every app currently on your iPad has a check mark next to it before starting a sync, or it will remove it. You can put them back easily enough, but you will lose any data or files stored in the app; and if you accidentally sync again while the app is missing you'll lose the ability to restore that data via the backup.

Ok I have synced movies although in order to do it I had to agree to erase syncing from my other pc which I didn't like but did it anyway. Now I try to sync apps and it tells me "all existing apps and their data on the iPad will be replaced with apps from this itunes library". Does that mean it will delete factory apps?? Not sure what they will replace because the only apps left on iPad are factory apps and new ones that showed up with ios5 update. Please advise.

It can not delete factory apps.

If the apps in the iTunes library you are about to sync with were not purchased with your Apple ID, then they will sync, and probably work, but you will not be able to update them without the ID that they were purchased from.

Hold in mind, you can always download your apps again directly from the App Store, on iTunes or the iPad.
