Apple just released 4.3.4, which patches the Jailbreakme PDF jailbreak.
So, iPad 2 owners, DO NOT UPGRADE!!!!!!!!!!!

iPad 1 owners, you can upgrade, as longs your SHSH blobs for 4.3.3 are saved. But there is no jailbreak for 4.3.4 yet so upgrading is pointless.

F4780y gives more info for iPad 2 owners.

According to a member, the 4.3.3 window hasn't closed yet.

As was predicted, although perhaps taking a little longer than predicted, Apple have now released IOS 4.3.4.

All this update does is stop jailbreakme.com from working, so BEWARE!

Do not install this update if you want to keep your ability to jailbreak.

iPad2 3G GSM & CDMA owners in particular must be extra careful. You do not currently have the ability to use your SHSH Blobs to restore your device, therefore you will be stuck with stock 4.3.4 if you update by accident. We need to confirm whether 4.3.4 also has an updated baseband version as this is the component which will prevent a downgrade. If Apple has been kind and left the baseband untouched at the same version, SHSH Blobs will be able to downgrade on these devices. Stay tuned for updates in this thread!

All iPad1, and iPad2 "WiFi Only", who have their 4.3.3 SHSHBlobs saved have a safety net to be able to downgrade. See our SHSH Blob FAQ for more information. But if you haven't saved your SHSH's yet do it now, within hours you will be out of time for 4.3.3...

Leigh ~ was this the main purpose?

    They would be stuck forever?

So ~ there is no reason for me to update....right?

You can upgrade, because you are a blob saver. :)
But there are no new features, and there is no jailbreak for it so it is pointless for now.

Yes, every time there has been a userland jailbreak like the current one! It's the jailbreak game of cat and mouse!

I thought given the drama around the jailbreak leak that it might have been out last weekend, but I guess there are more devices to test these days...
It's not as though Comex hid the fact the exploit was in the PDF engine, so I though they would have had it identified, tested, and out the door in double quick time! Guess not.

I'm looking for info on the iPad2 baseband at the moment. IF Apple has been foolish and not updated the version number, then iPad2 3G users may be able to use their blobs. I'm researching this at the moment...

I was surprised it took them this long to come out with the update given how the JB worked. I really wish Apple would stop blocking it, it's my device and I should be able to use it any way I see fit (providing it's legal).

Well the pdf exploit which was found by comex cant just be left alone. Apple has to patch these, so nobody uses the exploit for malicious purposes.
