This afternoon, members of Congress introduced a new bill called the Equality Act of 2015. It is meant to redefine the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include people of differing sexual orientation and gender identity beyond just discrimination based upon race, color, religion, or national origin.

The full purpose of the The Equality Act is to ensure full federal equality for all LGBT Americans, so that it will extend to those living in the 31 states which don't have adequate non-discrimination legislation. This way LBGT citizens can be equally protected from discrimination when seeking housing, education, jobs, public accommodations and more.

Several different corporations stepped forward in support of the act, and Apple was one of them. Here is Apple's statement,

The above video is Apple participating in the San Francisco Pride Parade, which it has done for several years now.
