With the launch of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has managed once more to break its past year sales record. That's why Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that Apple employees will be receiving additional vacation time during the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.
Tim Cook sent a company-wide memo out to all employees this morning, thanking them for their hard work during the month of September, when the new iPhones, iOS 8 and the Apple Watch were announced. Here's how his entire memo reads like:
Thus, Apple will be shutting down during the week of Thanksgiving, giving employees November 24, 25, and 26 off in addition to the actual holiday on November 27 and 28. However, stores will remain open, but retail employees will be given the same amount of time off, but at varying dates.
Not only those in the US, but international teams will also receive extra vacation. It's nice to see that Apple looks after its employees and rewards them for the hard work.
