App too large to download on AT&T says to use wifi? What the heck!!!

Greetings:

I am helping a friend with her iPad 2 and all she wants to do is downloan Scrabble for iPad. She got an error that said app was too large to use AT&T service, that she needed to use wifi. She tried to use the hotel wifi and it did not work.

Anyone know what is going on?!?!

Att put a max download limit for apps at 20mb due to badwidth issues. Did you get an error code when using the hotel wifi? Or did it just time out when trying?

Try another hot spot like macdonalds and should be ok The hotel may have restrictions in place for guests

Nothing more annoying than that. I have been there before but only on my 3G network never WiFi

It is the choice of the hotel to clamp downloads as the hotel people. To change it If it is free service they have that right.
