since my ipad is jailbroken, is it possible to just go into the app store and download anything i want?

You can download anything ''free'' labeled you want. but ''paid'' apps, you just have to pay for them.

Jailbreaking has nothing to do with the app store, actually jaibreaking gives you more app stores, that's the whole thing of jaibreak more choice, after jailbreak nothing changes with the apple app store you can download all you want the free ones are free the others you pay just like before, if you want free stuff hacked stuff then that is pirating, and nuff said about that.
