Is anyone else's smart cover rubbing like mine, the hinge is taking the damage at the moment, but I can't see it being long befor the iPad case starts marking permanently, as it's only leaving a Mark that can be rubbed off for now....
The damage on the hinge is permanent though :(

Several Forum members have reported this problem, so you're not alone. Some have returned their covers to the Apple Store as it doesn't affect all users.

Maybe someone can point this member to the thread that discusses this?

Cool so not all of them do this?
Was going to return it and try a 3rd party cover, but I'll try a new one see how it goes
I did look for other threads but there is too many to go through lol

Cheers :)

Same problem here. I'm using my smart cover folded into the typng stand with the poly (instead of the microfiber) on the outside. Don't know if that's a factor.

After 3 weeks of constant use my black smart cover is still pristine.

You might try cutting a tiny piece of self adhesive plastic film and placing it where the hinge touches the iPad.

Outside my iPad, or was it inside?

Des this mean you got a replacement, or that you bought a different case?

For a while my cover seemed to be without this issue, but today it showed the same clearly visible marks on the hinge, the cover and iPad.
