Is it possible to move an email onto the home screen?

It's not possible to move a single email to the homescreen. Through Safari, you can add the Gmail email account to the homescreen.

As Johanna says, it can't be done. Only apps, folders, and website links can be displayed on the Home screen.

If you describe the problem you are trying to solve, perhaps someone can come up with an alternative that will work for you.
