Lovers of Angry Birds have a reason to celebrate this week. First off, their favorite game is turning 3 years since it was first launched. Secondly, to celebrate this very special occasion, Rovio has released an update that brings an extra new bird to the Angry band wagon (the bubbly Pink Bird), some explosive birthday cake features and fine-tuning for the latest Apple phone – the iPhone 5. But wait, that’s not all. The most exciting news is yet to come. The birthday update includes 30 brand new levels:

“Happy Birdday! Can you believe that Angry Birds is turning three? We sure can’t! Celebrate with 30 NEW LEVELS, birdday cake, and the bubbliest bird ever — Pink Bird! But watch out for the cake — it’s not a lie, but it packs a BIG punch!â€

The new Angry Birds levels are packed with fun and provide 15 party levels and 15 Bad Piggies inspired levels. Get ready for countless hours of fun, featuring all your favorite feathered characters. Since it first launched the game in 2009, Rovio has issued Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Space, Bad Piggies and the super popular Angry Birds Star Wars – which makes the delight of geeks all around the world.

There’s more good news. Gamers will surely be thrilled to know that in 2016, Angry Birds is officially going on the big screen. It will be filmed in 3D and Rovio’s John Cohen is in charge of producing the film. Strangely enough, the Finnish company did not opt to work with some big shot producer/director from Hollywood but instead decided to fund the production itself. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to seeing the end result.
