On Monday, Amazon released an updated version of its Kindle application on the App Store. Kindle version 4.6 adds new features like Goodreads support and Audible Progressive Play.
Goodreads is a social cataloging service, which Amazon purchased last year, allowing readers to share reading progress on books as well as sharing quotes, completion status and more. Kindle also makes use of Audible's Progressive Play, which can begin to play audiobooks as the files are downloading, eliminating a wait. iPad Kindle users now also have access to Amazon's Book Browser, for use with Kindle Unlimited, and can download books directly from the Book Browser.
Amazon's Kindle can be found as a free standalone application in the App Store.
