No one can gift ergonomic chairs. Gotta fly to get them. If you need more archive boxes I can send some tomorrow.

I don't know about buying any cash. I think they do the 300% deal every so often. I am not going to do any buying as long as they have things messed up. I am also sending complaint letters everyone few days. :-(

I am oh so close to a university. Have plenty of everything except globes!

I can only answer the first part for you... No, you cannot visit neighbours you had before the iOS6 update and collect items as before, but it looks like you can with new neighbours. You can gift neighbours, but some of your pre-ios6 neighbours names will be displayed, so it's a bit hit and miss at the moment.

The University is gained by collecting 5 items from three new destinations: Cambridge, Stanford and Sorbonne.

Don't try to get neighbors from the list on the first tab that the game suggests. You will never get them there. Go to the "add Friend" tab and type in some of the people you see on the forum. Then if they accept you will see them in the "waiting" tab. If someone adds you as a friend, you will see them on the waiting for reply tab with a green check mark next to their name. Click it and you will be neighbors

I am trying to upgrade my control tower and fuel station but I don't think the parts I need can be gifted. Also I can't see the names of my neighbours it just shows their level. have sent all my neighbours gifts today, some I just returned, others I hope what I sent was helpful. I am level 13 so can only gift upto and including stapler - assuming gifts are shown in same order for all.
