9to5 Mac reports that Adobe will be launching the long-awaited iPad 2 app, Photoshop Touch, on Monday in the App Store. The app was actually accidentally launched by Adobe on Saturday night, but it has since been pulled from the store, ready for the real launch on Monday. According to Adobe, the new app aims to make it easy for the user to combine images and edit them with professional effects, and then share them with friends and family via social networking sites such as Facebook, all via your iPad. As you might expect, the app has deep integration with the desktop version of Photoshop, using tools especially designed for tablets, including layers, selection tools, adjustments and filters. Image browsing and capture is another very big feature of the app, with the user able to choose images from multiple sources such as Facebook, online image searches such as Google Image Search, or even a live feed via your iPad 2’s camera. 9to5 Mac says that according to its sources, who have used the app on iPad, it actually works better than the Android version that was released a while back. Adobe Photoshop Touch will be available in the App Store from Monday for $9.99.

I'm guessing it needs more RAM than is available in the iPad 1.
