Accessory maker Miniot has unveiled the Cover, its first product for the iPad 2. Like the company's iPhone and iPod gear, the Cover is made out of wood. Significantly though the Cover takes advantages of the iPad 2's built-in magnets, which can hold and align cases and help automatically lock or unlock iOS.
The Cover should ship by the end of March at a minimum cost of $69. Smoked oak, walnut, cherry, padouk, or mahogany is available as primary material; microfiber lining faces an iPad's screen. Also, while the Cover doesn't protect a tablet's back, when it is rolled up it can serve as a stand at two different angles.
