Good news if you’ve been thinking about buying an iPad Pro but have been waiting for the price to drop, as 9to5 Mac reports that Apple has just made the device available in its official online refurbished store at greatly reduced prices.
Just how much you can save depends on the configuration of iPad that you choose; for example, you can order a 32GB Wi-Fi-only iPad Pro in Space Gray, Gold, or Silver for $679, which represents a $120 discount from the usual $799 price. There’s also a 128GB Wi-Fi-only model with the same colour choices for $809, an even bigger discount of $140.
If it’s a cellular iPad Pro that you’re looking for, then there’s a saving of $160 off the cost of the 128GB version, which is currently available in the refurb store for $919.
If you’ve never bought an item from the official Apple refurbished store before then it can actually be a really good way to get an Apple product at a heavily discounted price. Goods purchased in the online refurb store always come with a 1-year warranty, and have been thoroughly tested and certified by Apple prior to sale. The big difference between buying from the refurb store and buying a brand new device is that they usually don’t come in standard Apple packaging. Unfortunately, though, refurb bargains are often in short supply, so you have to be quick if you want to snap them up, although stock will usually be refreshed regularly, so it’s worth checking the refurb store often.
