Did you try evernote?
I just want a note taking app that I can either use the keyboard or write with my finger. Easy and simple, don't need any fancy stuff. Whats the best for that?
Have you thought about Noteshelf by Ramki? I've been thinking about getting it myself, it looks really good.

Try DocAs looks the same and they have a free version, IMO the best apps let you try before you buy.Originally Posted by dustrho

I have been using Noteshelf, and I can still use the app without being forced to disable the gesture feature. I'd be pretty upset if I couldn't use that, which is one of the many reasons why I like Noteshelf.

Just started using Evernote to see why the fuss (or why does everyone recommend it). I get it now. It is a nice cross-platform app and I'm hooked.
(The 2010 iPad 64GB WiFi iPad started it all)
- Black New iPad 64GB LTE
- White iPhone 4S 16GB
- iPod Touch 4G 8GB
- Apple TV 2 and 3
Before you reach the point of no return Do try out Springpad - I have just gone back to that following a reminder note from them that I was a registered user before I found Evernote. It's simplicity after the Evernote complexity is nice. Worth a look! I am in no way connected with them.Originally Posted by Beryl

For pure note taking sorry to say that the default IOS Notes App is the best IMO. It's quick to start, integrates with all iPad apps and if you use ICloud; you can share your notes on all apple devices. For example my wife an I share ICloud account. When I make a Note it instantly updates on her IPad, iPhone and my IPhone. Great for shopping list, directions, copy and paste important emails and reminders.
I've tried many replacements and have found for effectiveness the IOS Notes app is the way to go.
