Can't play Blu-ray movie on your iPad 4? Never mind! This article here offers you the easiest method to have blu-ray movies played on iPad 4.
Have a pile of Blu-ray movies, but cannot play them on your beloved fourth-generation iPad (iPad with Retina Display)? I still remember how disappointed I was when I got the iPad 4 and wanted to play my blu-ray movies on it, but cannot. Fortunately, I got a way to rip Blu-ray to iPad 4 friendly format finally. Here I am going to share it with your guys.
To convert Blu-ray to iPad 4 compatible format, you need a Blu-ray to iPad ripper, the one similar to DVD Ripper. The tool here I'd like to share is Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper. The program provides an easy way to rip, convert and enjoy my huge DVD's and Blu-Ray collection of movies and concerts. I've found the quality to be excellent, and see no difference when compared to playing the discs themselves. If you are a Mac user, you can use its Mac version to convert Blu-ray to your iPad 4, iPad Mini, new iPad 3 and other iPad models on Mac OS X (Lion and Mountain Lion included). Just get the right version and follow the below guide to transfer Blu-ray movie to iPad 4 for smoothly playback.

How to Rip Blu-ray to iPad 4 supported video formats
Note: This guide uses Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper for Windows (Windows 8 compatible) screenshots. For ripping Blu-ray discs, a BD drive is needed.
1. Upload blu-ray movie to the Blu-ray Ripper
Insert blu-ray disc to the blu-ray drive. Then click the "Load Disc" button on the main interface to have blu-ray movie added to the program.(Tips: The Blu-ray Ripper also supports DVD disc, DVD folder, ISO files and IFO files. If you need to convert DVD or DVD files to other video format, you can depend on the program.)
2. Choose iPad friendly format as the output format
There are presets for iPad in the category of "iPad". Since the iPad 4's video specs is same as iPad 3, you're suggested to choose "iPad 3 (New iPad) Full HD Video(*.mp4)". By doing that, you could no longer worry about the video settings because the Blu-ray to iPad Ripper has optimized the video resolution, bit rate, frame rate for iPad. The ouput files could fit on iPad 4 perfectly.
If you like, you can click "Settings" to change the video encoder, resolution, frame rate, etc. as you wish. I found bitrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss, and vice versa.
3. Start to convert blu-ray to iPad 4 friendly format
Hit the shiny "Convert" button on the main interface of Blu-ray to iPad Converter to accomplish the video conversion. Boosted with the latest NVIDIA CUDA & AMD Technologies, the Blu-ray Ripper could run up to 6X faster, making the whole process a breeze.
4. Sync Files to iPad.
Once the process completes, locate the files and transfer and copy the converted MP4 videos to your iPad 4, here's the way to go:
1. Launch the iTunes and connect iPad to PC.
2. Choose "File – > Add File to Library…"
3. Drag the .mp4 file you want to the iPad icon.
So there you've it. Pretty simple. Now you can enjoy 1080p Blu-ray movies with your iPad 4 anytime, anywhere. Hope this article helps. Thanks for reading.
