We used to talk about the common garden variety asparagus - that is until the riots. Asparagus stalking you everywhere you went, running amok through the corn fields, dumping silos and tipping cows. Just because they are a fast growing spring vegetable... Not so special in my book. I still have nightmares, we lost Uncle Phil to a small bunch down by the railroad tracks, Janet has never been the same.
