Yesterday at my place there was so little snow on the ground - grass was showing.

It's the wet variety. So heavy our Amur Maple collapsed under the weight. You can see the large branches that came down - in the foreground.

I hope no people or animals were there when it happened. We had a storm like that, several years ago in Regina. Branches were down all over the city and several elm trees almost 100 years old were split open by the strain of the weight from the heavy wet snow.Quote:

Sorry about the Maple AA, they said today that you have had more snow days so far than all of last winter. Wet and windy here and 3°C.
High for today -22°C. Wind chill -36°C. A bit nippy.
Blowing snow, lots of it. Should make driving interesting.
